Cloning and analysis of DlERF23 gene in flower induction

Irregular flowering is a serious problem in longan production. Identifying the flower induction-related genes and analyzing their regulation mechanism key to solve this problem. The APETALA2/ethylene responsive factor (AP2/ERF) superfamily members are transcription factors (TFs) that regulate diverse developmental processes, including time, stress responses plants. However, there still no research about AP2/ERF involved of induction. In present study, TF member DlERF23 was cloned from (Dimocarpus longan). It has typical AP2 domain with coding sequence (CDS) 552 bp length encodes 184 amino acids. molecular weight protein 20.41 kda theoretical isoelectric point (PI) 7.69. acid had highest similarity CsERF23 (XP_006478313.1) Citrus sinensis CcERF23 (XP_006441807.2) clementina. results qRT-PCR showed relative expression level gene pericarp higher, followed by stem, leave, bud. Meanwhile, significant down-regulated early stage induction ‘Sijimi’ (SJ) up-regulated late ‘Shixia’ (SX). transient Arabidopsis protoplasts fluorescence signal mainly concentrated nucleus. Moreover, overexpression promoted flowering. These provide useful information for revealing biological roles increase our understanding fruit trees.
